Challenge

Educate pet owners throughout Maricopa County about bite prevention awareness and the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.

Idea

Barclay employed a “One by One” direct mail campaign using attention-getting graphics and compelling information targeted towards pet owners. Local events were also held in order to distribute informational materials (produced in both English and Spanish) and create dialogue within the communities. In addition, owners could also get their pets spayed or neutered at “Neuter Scooter” locations while learning how to train and prevent pets from injuring people.

Impact

This campaign reached both Anglo and Latino residents throughout Maricopa County, generating strong awareness for the benefits of neutering pets and bite prevention.
